Clan Archivist Seathan Falkirk
White to Rose Prince
Seathan is a scholar whose dream was always to attend the Dhemlan University.
In his youth, he bonded a wealthy lowland Queen who also wished to attend. They went to University together for seven years, during which time he earned a reputation as a scholar and keen thinker, despite being short-lived. His Queen was called home to serve, but he remained to finish his degree.
His son Aaron was born in Dhemlan, not to the Queen he loved, but to her sister. The child was a wedge that not only shook trust between Escort and Queen, but was used to fracture the Court. Aaron was a constant bone of contention, taken from both of his parents as a Ward of the Court. Aaron's Birthright Rose earned him careful tutoring in its power, but the constant strife, anger and maneuvering between the three adults who claimed him was hard on the child.
Aaron's mother, Mother Elberta Druimun, F59 as of 190AP, b 131 AP. White to Rose Healer, arranged for Aaron to escape to the Naval Academy when he had his Offering. Despite not coming from a naval family, Aaron did well and graduated with honors.
While Seathan served his Queen, the Court continued to fracture, until a bitter quarrel between two males erupted into a full-scale battle that divided the Court into warring fractions. The fight took the life of the Queen. Seathan has often wondered if the Quarrel itself was manufactured, part of some larger plot. He has little to go on, as he was badly hurt in the attack. He woke back in the Highlands, and was home no more than a week before his son Aaron was forced to give up his ship, his commission, and the Navy, or see his Healer mother killed. While he could not let her die, neither could he bear to live with her, so he sought out his Falkirk kin.
Seathan has twice been back to the academy for smaller bouts of study, and is easily the most well-educated person in the Falkirk Clan. This has worked against him as he was and is refused the risk of battle and warfare.
He has been collecting and chronicling Clan history since his first trip to University, because so much of it was lost during the Purge.
He is occasionally melancholy, having lost so many of his loved ones. He has given up on finding another Queen, although he finds great delight in teaching and can always be counted upon to have a good tale or rousing historical example.
Seathan is the Laird's uncle.
Bonding Triggers:
[*] A Queen for Seathan would love and long for knowledge. She would be gentle with her inner circle, and be or become feminine in mannerisms and speech.
[*] Seathan would be an excellent tutor or Steward to a young Queen. His own wisdom and Court experience would nicely balance an otherwise youthful Court.
